steve and mary pruitt - print salon share

When 22 KC print society members got together to share a print that meant something to each of us, STORIES opened up, and it got exciting in the Spencer Room of the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. Here is Steve:

"This is an engraving with the process done in 1825 by Mr. Blake. This is the image with the title "With Dreams Upon My Bed Thou Scarest And Afrightest Me With Visions." And it really a frightening-looking image. We looked for a Blake for many years, but they were always, you know, the proofs, which is what we wanted from the first edition were always expensive. This one was one of those rare eBay finds."  Steve Pruitt

While Mary Pruitt holds the engraving, her husband Steve introduces "With Dreams Upon My Bed" by William Blake. They also show a lithograph by Pierre Bonnard. Three minute video. DOUBLE CLICK ON IMAGES TO ENLARGE.

Le Bath by Pierre Bonnard, lithograph, BELOW.

Mary and Steve Pruitt are members of the Nelson Atkins Print Society.
